Comcast Presents Grants to Longtime Community Partner in Broward County
Comcast recently presented HandsOn Broward, one of its longtime local community partners, with two grants. Dawn Stagliano, Director of Government Affairs and Community Impact for Comcast in Broward County, presented the nonprofit with a check for more than $36,000, which includes money for a Comcast Digital Literacy Foundation Grant and a Comcast Cares Day Comcast Foundation Grant.
HandsOn Broward received the Comcast Cares Day grant for its participation as a community partner for Comcast’s annual company-wide day of service. Back in May, Comcast teamed up with HandsOn Broward to beautify the campus at a local school, Dillard Elementary.
As a part of the company’s year-round commitment to giving back to the communities it serves, the Comcast Foundation provides grants to Comcast Cares Day partner organizations to support their missions throughout the year. To date, the Comcast Foundation has awarded more than $22 million in grants to local non-profit organizations who have served as partners on Comcast Cares Day.
