When parents learning to speak English as a second language attend classes at the Palm Beach Literacy Coalition, they often need to bring their kids with them.
But instead of seeing this as an issue or setting up a daycare, the Coalition has a unique way for family members of different ages to learn alongside each other. It’s called the Glades Family Education Program and it’s been helping Palm Beach County children and families for more than 25 years.
Now the program’s teachers and students are able to take advantage of all the resources the Internet has to offer thanks to the Comcast Lift Zones at two Literacy Coalition facilities in Belle Glade.

The two Lift Zones in Belle Glade are among the 17 total in Palm Beach County. There are currently nearly 100 Lift Zones across the state of Florida.
