To celebrate Comcast bringing its Xfinity 10G Network to DeSoto County, Comcast is hosting two “Xfinity on Tour” events in Arcadia:
Football Kickoff Party
Friday, August 25 from 5PM – 8PM
DeSoto County High School – 1710 E Gibson St, Arcadia, FL 34266
Back to School Party
Saturday, August 25 from 12PM – 4PM
Walmart Supercenter – 2725 SE Hwy 70, Arcadia, FL 3426
Xfinity on Tour appearances are open to the public and will feature food, games and prize giveaways. Xfinity and Comcast Business representatives will be on site to welcome Arcadia residents and answer questions about Comcast services and offers.
Additionally, residents can learn more about the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), a federal program that provides low-income households a credit of up to $30/month towards their internet and/or mobile services. People are eligible to participate in ACP if they (or someone in their household) meets one of the following requirements:
- Your entire household income is at or below twice the federal poverty level (for example, $60,000/year for a family of four, $29,160/year for an individual).
- You participate in certain federal assistance programs such as SNAP/EBT (Food Stamps), Medicaid, Lifeline, or free and reduced-price school lunch and breakfast.
Comcast’s network expansion will soon make its services available in the City of Arcadia and parts of other areas in DeSoto County, including Nocatee and Lake Suzy. Residents should visit Xfinity.com/MyTown and enter their addresses to get additional details on services and when they will be available at their homes.
