Xfinity On Tour Brought Food, Fun, and Big Prizes to Arcadia

Comcast celebrated the arrival of the Xfinity 10G Network to Arcadia with two “Xfinity on Tour” events in August. The events featured food, games and prize giveaways for attendees.

The big winner of the weekend was Greg, a resident of Arcadia Village Country Club – a 55+ community that is part of Comcast’s Arcadia network expansion. He won a Samsung TV set at the event, which was delivered to him by Xfinity representatives.

Xfinity and Comcast Business team members were on-site during the Xfinity on Tour events to answer questions about Comcast products and services. Arcadia residents also learned more about the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which provides low-income households a credit of up to $30/month towards their Internet and/or mobile services.

Comcast’s network expansion will soon make its services available in the City of Arcadia and other areas in DeSoto County, including Nocatee and Lake Suzy. This expansion is not only bringing high-speed Internet services to some areas for the first time – but will do so on the Xfinity 10G broadband network that is being built to power the rapid rise in Internet consumption today and in the future.

Residents should visit Xfinity.com/MyTown and enter their addresses to get additional details on services and when they will be available at their homes.
