Comcast techs connect customers rain or shine. In March, Comcast Business techs in Jacksonville brought next-gen connectivity to THE PLAYERS Championship by working directly on the course. Read more about the techs behind the technology here.

“It’s a great honor to be able to do this. I’ve been able to work on THE PLAYERS Championship for quite a few years,” said Kenneth Merritt, Comcast Business technician. “It comes with its challenges, like hiding the cord properly and knowing it’s all temporary, but the payoff is so rewarding.”

There are also times where our techs, along with network maintenance crews and construction experts, are called to help after natural disasters. For example in May, two devastating tornadoes tore through Tallahassee. The high winds brought down more than 400 utility poles and countless trees, impacting Comcast Business and Xfinity services. Technicians helped rebuild our network and bring customers back online. Take a look a how they sprung into action.

“While it’s unfortunate that our customers had to endure these storms, it’s satisfying to get them back online and reconnected,” said Brandon Smith, Senior Installation and Service Manager. “Being able to take part in bringing normalcy back to a single person is humbling. Seeing all my colleagues chipping in to help our local Tallahassee team and customers reinforces the family aspect of the job.”
