Comcast’s Elena Kilpatrick Celebrated as 2025 Influential Business Women Honoree in South Florida

Impactful. Innovative. Inspirational. These are three words best used to describe the incredible women celebrated at South Florida Business Journal’s 2025 Influential Business Women Awards. The publication highlighted just 25 female executives from across Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties for their exemplary leadership and community involvement, including Comcast Florida’s very own Elena Kilpatrick.

Kilpatrick currently services as Vice President of Technical Operations for the company’s Florida region. She oversees teams working nonstop to ensure Comcast Business and Xfinity customers stay connected to the company’s state-of-the-art network, from as far south as Key West to the north including parts of south Alabama and Georgia.

Kilpatrick’s expertise, strategy and vision continue to deliver reliable connectivity and exceptional customer service for millions in the Sunshine State. She’s worked to build cross functional teams, focused on operational excellence and increasing efficiencies in the network.

Her unwavering determination also provided record restoration turnaround times after last year’s trio of hurricanes – Debby, Helene and Milton. The rapid response helped communities across the state recover quickly from the devastating storms, ensuring businesses and residents could access fast and reliable internet.

When she manages to take a break from overseeing more than 1,300 employees, Kilpatrick enjoys spending time with her husband Jim. The two love taking morning walks with their Airedale Terrier. Kilpatrick adores traveling. She said her favorite destination is Nashville, where she can enjoy good company, southern cuisine, country music, along with bling and boots!

When asked who she would thank for supporting her career, Kilpatrick gave credit to her family and inspirational colleagues who’ve guided her.

“I’m very driven with a desire to make an impact,” Kilpatrick said. “The incredible amount of support from my family, especially my husband, leaders I’ve worked with and peer groups along the way have been critical to my success.”

As Comcast continues to grow its network across the Sunshine State, Kilpatrick is constantly reimagining how the technology company like can deliver for its customers. She’s an influential businesswoman in every sense, deeply invested in her community and inspiring future female leaders to think about how best to grow their careers in a traditionally male-dominated field.

At the event, each honoree was asked to share a “Pearl of Wisdom” with the crowd of 350 attendees. Kilpatrick encouraged the audience to embrace communication, seek advice from those around them and put trust in their team members.

“Do not make up your own movie. Have conversations with those around you and create opportunities for open communication,” Kilpatrick said. “When you make up a movie, you might not like the ending.”
