Get ready, Florida! 🍦 Comcast Business is hitting the open road and heading across the Sunshine State to celebrate Small Business Month this May. It’s the perfect time to recognize the local entrepreneurs who bring their creativity, energy and uniqueness to local economies in Florida. It’s simply sweet to show them some love, so Comcast Business is teaming up with a few favorite spots to make the occasion. After all, Comcast Business is proud to offer customized connectivity solutions and programs to help them grow.

From Sanibel to Clermont to Greater Jacksonville to Fort Myers Beach, we’re inviting you to to join us in celebrating these local treasures. Plus you may even score a free, sweet treat compliments of Comcast Business.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with businesses throughout Florida this Small Business Month,” Senior Director of Marketing for Comcast Business in Florida, Jimmy Kelly. “Small businesses are crucial players in towns and neighborhoods across the state. It is a major priority of ours to make sure we support them.”

First, Comcast Business is heading back to The Shack on Sanibel Island. On May 7 from 1:00-4:00 p.m., the first 100 customers to visit The Shack during the event will get a free Shackit custard on Comcast Business. The Shack, a small business owned by the Whitman family, opened in 2021 and is located at 1219 Periwinkle Way.

Last year, the company partnered with the local favorite to mark the completion of a game-changing project, designed to strengthen Internet access on to the barrier island. Comcast also presented $5,000 and 20 laptops to FISH of SANCAP.

On May 8 in Clermont, Comcast Business will partner with Yummi’s Frozen Yogurt to share complimentary froyo with the first 100 customers between 1:00-4:00 p.m. Yummi’s is a small business serving up frozen treats including ice cream and acai bowls. They are located in Downtown Clermont, at 650 8th Street, and less than 30 miles from Orlando.

The Small Business Month party continues on May 15 at Dreamette Ice Cream in Atlantic Beach outside Jacksonville at 61 Sailfish Drive East. At Dreamette, Comcast Business is buying the first 100 customers who arrive between 5:00-7:00 p.m. an ice cream treat of their choice. Dreamette is known for their fun flavors of soft serve, shakes and ice cream sandwiches.

To wrap up Small Business Month, Comcast Business will be partnering with Nervous Nellie‘s in Fort Myers Beach on June 4 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Nervous Nellie’s is located at 1131 First Street. This event will celebrate all of Comcast Business’s partners in the area and support a community hit hard by recent hurricanes. Attendees can enjoy free bites and drinks.
