Miami Gardens Gets a Tech Boost with New Xfinity Store
Comcast officially opened its newest Xfinity store in the fast-growing community of Miami Gardens
To celebrate, the technology leader threw a special celebration complete with premium gifts for customers, a grant announcement, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and of course …. some cafecito with delicious seasonal donuts.


Meet the Miami Gardens Xfinity Team
The modern and nearly 1,200-square-foot tech hub at 19184 NW 27th Avenue is now open for business and offering Xfinity’s full suite of mobile, Internet, streaming entertainment and home security services. The store will be led by Jayson Velez.

A Grand Opening Rooted in Community Connections
The grand opening brought together area residents, nonprofit leaders, brand partners from Blufox and representatives from the Miami Gardens Chamber of Commerce for a lively morning celebration. Jackie Guerry Maybeck, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Comcast’s Florida Region, served as the event’s emcee. Guerry Maybeck welcomed guests and highlighted Comcast’s commitment to connecting with and investing in the Miami Gardens community.

“At Comcast, we’re committed to meeting the needs of our community and meeting customers where they’re at. In this case, in person, right here in this beautiful new store,” Guerry Maybeck said. “Our team is here to help you explore, understand and customize the solutions that work best for you and your family. With this new store in Miami Gardens, I’m proud to say we now have 8 stores across the county.”
Andre L. Williams was also among the guests at the store’s grand opening. Miller is the President of the Miami Gardens Chamber of Commerce. He champions economic development and local entrepreneurship for Miami Gardens. Miller shared the store opening is much more than a ribbon-cutting ceremony; it’s a reflection of progress for his city.

Michelle Oyola McGovern is the Vice President of Government Affairs for Comcast’s Florida Region. As part of the celebration, she presented a $35,000 grant to Branches. The local nonprofit focuses economic empowerment. Comcast’s contribution will help advance the organization’s Be One application, developed to support underserved small businesses in Miami-Dade County. The app connects entrepreneurs to vital resources, mentorship, and tools they need to grow and thrive in today’s economy.

Branches President & CEO Brent McLaughlin and Sr. Vice President of Development Isabelle Pike accepted the check on behalf of the organization.

We currently have 330 micro-entrepreneurs that are part of our Be One app and they are all beginning to gain traction and thrive.
