Comcast Florida Spreads Holiday Cheer Through Heartfelt Volunteering
This holiday season, Comcast employees across the Florida Region came together to make a meaningful impact through Team UP volunteer events. From decorating campuses to singing carols, these efforts brought joy and connection to those who need it most. Team UP isn’t just a moment, it’s a year-round commitment to creating stronger communities, 365 days a year.
Lighting Up Lives at Ann Storck Center
Comcast volunteers visited the Ann Storck Center for a festive Team UP event that transformed the campus into a winter wonderland. Volunteers strung holiday lights across rooftops, walkways, and poles, added lawn ornaments, and created a cheerful atmosphere for residents.

During the visit, the center’s CEO shared the organization’s mission: supporting individuals with developmental disabilities through 14 specialized programs focused on independence, education, life skills, and compassionate care. For many residents, the staff truly serve as family.
Shari Bushman, a Complex Enterprise Sales Engineer at Comcast Business, is passionate about giving back. She described the volunteer event as a truly rewarding experience.
“Volunteering at the Ann Storck Center was an incredible experience. Seeing the impact first-hand and hearing from CEO Pat Murphy about the Center’s mission to support individuals with developmental disabilities made the day even more meaningful.”

Caroling and Kindness at Regents Nursing Home
Another highlight of the season was a visit to Regents Nursing Home in partnership with One Beautiful World, where volunteers spread holiday cheer through caroling, gift-giving, and heartfelt interactions with elderly residents.

From singing festive songs for both Christmas and Hanukkah to delivering cards and gifts to those unable to leave their rooms, volunteers created moments of joy and connection. These small acts of kindness brought big smiles and lasting memories.
Distributing Toys for Patients at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital
Comcast volunteers also helped bring joy to children spending the holidays in the hospital. Employees across three different Comcast Florida locations donated toys for the children at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospitals in Hollywood and Wellington.

Then, volunteers gathered to support the hospital’s festive holiday party. They distributed gifts, played games, and shared holiday cheer with families, making the season a little brighter.

Bringing Bikes and Joy to Military Kids
Earlier this month, ten bicycles donated by Comcast were raffled off to military children during the USO’s holiday event at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville.

In a Facebook post, USO Jacksonville thanked Comcast for their contributions.
A huge THANK YOU to the Comcast team for their generous bike donation that helped make this Christmas extra special for some very lucky military children!
Because of amazing community partners like Comcast, we’re able to create meaningful moments and lasting memories for the families who serve our country. Your kindness and support go a long way, and we are incredibly grateful for your commitment to giving back.
Thank you again, Comcast, for helping us make this holiday season brighter—one bike and one smile at a time!
