Comcast Business Supports Panama City Business Community

As the Panhandle continues to recover from Hurricane Michael, the Comcast Business Florida Region team joined members of the Panama City local business community to celebrate the progress that has been made in the three months since the storm hit the area.

Local business owners, community leaders and the Comcast Business Florida Region team gathered at The Shrimp Boat restaurant in Panama City on January 24 for the special “back to business” networking event.

“We want to show our appreciation for local business owners and our vendor partners and to get the word out that Comcast Business is back up and running in Panama City,” said Meghan Mayes, Comcast Business Sales Director.

The Comcast Business sales team was also out in full force in Panama City. Team members went door to door to connect with local companies, speaking with business owners about how they were impacted by the storm, as well as what Comcast Business products and services are available in the area to potentially help with their day to day operations.

“We are going door to door to help these customers rebuild their businesses and get them back up and running with Comcast Business services,” said Mayes.

Comcast Business products and services, including high-speed internet, digital television, digital voice and more, are now powered by the area’s brand new network. When Hurricane Michael hit the area in October, the destructive storm badly damaged Comcast’s fiber lines and infrastructure. The company’s technical operations team and technicians worked for weeks to remove the damaged lines and construct a brand-new network, hanging more than 650 miles of new cable and installing the new equipment needed to run the high-speed network.
