Comcast Business Sponsors Hi-Tech Hospitality Round Table in Miami Beach, Powers Industry’s Digital Transformation

As part of its continued efforts to deliver advanced digital solutions that go beyond fast, Comcast Business recently sponsored the High Tech Hospitality: Trends in the Guest Experience event in Miami Beach with the South Florida Business Journal.

Inside the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, Robert Patterson, enterprise sales director for Comcast Business in Florida, welcomed guests. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to South Florida and its hospitality community, which was exemplified last summer by Comcast’s significant expansion of its fiber network in to Miami Beach for the first time.

“Not all networks are created equal,” said Patterson. “Our expanded fiber network and more than 2,000 technicians in and around Miami Beach show the strength of Comcast.”

A panel of industry experts discussed how rapidly-evolving technologies are reshaping the modern hotel and food service experience and shed light on solutions that businesses can implement to exceed the expectations of today’s digitally-savvy consumers.

Panelists addressed a variety of important topics, including security and privacy, the necessity of fast and accessible WiFi, and how mobile solutions streamline and personalize the customer experience, which ultimately boosts their satisfaction and bottom lines.

Robert Hill, General Manager of the InterContinental Miami hotel, a Comcast Business customer, noted during the discussion how Comcast Business’s cutting-edge products and services – such as its digital television, Internet and mobile-inspired products – are critical to providing his guests with the best-in-class digital amenities.

“A brand signature feature of IHG is IHG Studio, which allows the direct casting of entertainment from guests’ personal devices to in-room televisions quickly and seamlessly,” said Hill. “We’re able to provide the fastest bandwidth to our guests because of Comcast Business – whose staff has been amazing to work with.”

While the hospitality industry has always been a focus for Comcast Business, Strategic Enterprise Account Executive Brian Paternostro has high hopes for the possibilities that lie ahead in Miami Beach. He credited Comcast’s newly offered suite of services, which includes 100 Gigabits-per-second internet service, digital voice and cloud-based solutions.

“With our fiber network expansion, Comcast is excited to familiarize Miami Beach businesses with our high-caliber internet options that weren’t available for them until now,” said Paternostro. “Our customers were in search of more diverse choices. We created efficient and easy to use possibilities for them, including bundled solutions, fiber internet service, traditional television services, and advanced voice services.”
