Hundreds of Volunteers Revitalize Palm Beach County School for Comcast Cares Day

The campus at Forest Hill Elementary School in West Palm Beach looks a lot brighter thanks to a local partnership between Comcast and the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County for the 18th annual Comcast Cares Day on Saturday, May 4. Comcast Cares Day marks the culmination of the spirit of volunteerism that Comcast employees bring to life in their communities all year long.

Hundreds of local Comcast employees, their friends and families and community volunteers worked together on a variety of beautification projects at the school, inside and outside, including creating outdoor classrooms, planting a sensory garden for students with autism, enhancing green spaces and garden areas, painting murals, revamping the play courts of the outdoor PE area and giving the teachers’ lounge a makeover.

In addition, the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County will receive a Comcast Foundation grant on behalf of everyone who volunteered on Comcast Cares Day. To date, the Comcast Foundation has awarded more than $25 million in grants to local non-profit organizations who have served as partners on Comcast Cares Day.
