Annual event aims to empower Black businesses through educational discussions

Comcast Business is thrilled to participate in this year’s annual African American Small Business Forum, a virtual discussion aimed towards educating and building African American-owned small businesses. Hosted by the Jacksonville Business Journal, the event presents an opportunity for entrepreneurs to expand their networks and learn specific steps to help grow their businesses.

This year’s event will focus on “Tapping Into Diversity” and feature businesses that are looking for a more diverse network of suppliers, vendors and partners, with the conversation explicitly focused on what our audience members need to do to position their businesses to build such relationships. A portion of the conversation will also focus on helping businesses that should pursue 8(a) certification understand what they need to know about the process.

The event will be moderated by Carlton Robinson, Chief Innovation Officer of JAX Chamber’s Venture Services Division, and the line-up of panelists include:

  • Regan Yeldell, Executive Director of Program Management, Comcast Business
  • Dana Hill, Senior Manager of Procurement Programs, Florida Blue
  • Kerri Stewart, VP of Business Analytics & Strategic Initiatives, Miller Electric
  • Jennifer Frasier, Global Director of Inclusion & Diversity, FIS
  • Derek Cantey, Supplier Diversity Senior Manager, Wells Fargo

Click here to register and sign up for the webinar on Monday, March 22th from 11:30-1pm. Tickets are $25 per participant.
