Comcast announced that Jackie Guerry Maybeck has joined the company’s Florida Region senior leadership team as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Maybeck reports to Jeff Buzzelli, who joined the Florida Region as the new Regional Senior Vice President in July.
With a focus on pursuing growth opportunities, including network expansions that will bring broadband Internet service to new and underserved areas in Florida, Maybeck is leading the go-to-market sales and marketing strategies across its footprint in Florida along with portions of southeastern Alabama and southeastern Georgia that comprise the company’s Florida Region.
Comcast is currently expanding to many rural communities across the state through the Florida Broadband Opportunity Grants Program, a competitive reimbursement grant program created to expand broadband Internet service to unserved areas of the state, helping encourage job creation, capital investment, and the strengthening and diversification of local economies.
Maybeck also oversees the direct sales department, Xfinity retail stores, and the Xfinity Communities account representatives that serve and support customers living in communities throughout the Florida Region.
Maybeck has been with Comcast since 2013, most recently as the Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the company’s Beltway Region in the Washington, DC-Baltimore, Maryland area. She also previously held leadership positions in sales and marketing for Comcast in California and Texas.
“Jackie brings a fresh perspective and strategic vision that will help us drive growth, inspire innovation, and lead the Florida Region to new heights of success,” said Buzzelli.
Maybeck’s leadership approach focuses on driving a best-in-class experience for customers and employees. She is also heavily involved in employee engagement, including previously serving as an executive sponsor for the OUT at Comcast Employee Resource Group.
“The Florida Region is the largest in the company by subscribers and is poised for even more growth through the network expansions that we are building all over the state,” said Maybeck. “I’m looking forward to working with the amazing team we have here and bringing Xfinity services to more communities.”
Prior to joining Comcast, Maybeck held various leadership positions at companies in the wireless industry. She holds an MBA from the University of Houston-Downtown and received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Sam Houston State University.
