Miami Students Kick Off School Week with Surprise and Tech Tools from Comcast

Mondays will not be the same anytime soon for some students Miami teenagers. What started as an average school day quickly transformed into a series of exciting, unscheduled events made possible by Comcast. Inside the school’s dance room, the world breaking champion and Team USA athlete Victor Montalvo surprised the teenagers.

Montalvo told them to dream big and never stop believing in themselves, attributing his success to perseverance and his community’s support. Montalvo closed his remarks by inviting the room to participate in a short breaking choreography. The whole class enthusiastically joined Montalvo. Senior student, Skylar James, said it was her favorite part of the day.

Following the demonstration and before closing the fun-filled day, Comcast announced a laptop donation to all 161 students from the school’s dance program present. The investment into the students’ education is part of the technology leader’s Project UP program, which aims to advance digital opportunity, help build a future of unlimited possibilities, and open doors for the next generation of artists, innovators, entrepreneurs, storytellers, and creators.
