Florida Network Restoration Timeline

Wednesday, October 24 @ 5:15 p.m.

Through the relentless efforts of the hundreds of crew members deployed across Florida, the majority of homes and businesses impacted by Hurricane Milton have been restored. For our remaining customers who are still in outage, our teams continue to work around the clock, often addressing connection issues house by house and business by business to detect damage and make repairs. We will continue to work until all services are restored.

Sanibel and Captiva Islands residents – we need your help. Crews’ restoration efforts are being impeded by accidental cuts or damage to our network causing secondary outages. Our teams are being redirected to areas where cleanup efforts are damaging our lines. If you are involved in debris or sand removal, please be cautious to avoid any lines, as they may be live and providing services to you, your neighbors or your street. Please help us in getting Florida’s barrier islands back online.

Techs are in the field and working diligently in Fort Pierce and Northlake-Palm Beach County and other areas along Florida’s east coast where there is extensive tornado damage. Crews are actively rebuilding parts of our network that are beyond repair. We greatly appreciate your patience as this rebuild phase may take longer than we initially estimated.

An updated timeline for our estimated restoration is listed below. You can view our outage map to check your location and if not listed, please use your Xfinity app to chat with a representative.

Hundreds of crew members have been deployed across Florida to restore our network post-Hurricane Milton. Currently we have restored connectivity to 95% of the homes and businesses affected by the storms. The restoration process is a complicated and meticulous one. Significant damage to our network caused by tornadoes has resulted in extensive work in some areas and commercial power restoration continues to be a factor. An updated timeline for our estimated restoration is listed below.

Several factors contribute to our predominately restored timeline estimations including commercial electricity restoration to our network, our crews’ ability to access damaged locations, and whether debris hinders the necessary construction and connection work necessary to restore connectivity to homes and businesses. Please note that estimates are based on current known factors and may change. Frequently, customers will have their services restored well before the dates listed below. Predominantly restored means our network is operational, and services have been restored for approximately 90% of our customers.

Our restoration crews have been deployed to all areas affected by Hurricane Milton. Thanks to the relentless work of our technicians, we continue to make significant progress. Currently, we’ve restored connectivity to 92% of the homes and businesses across Florida. Working with local authorities and power companies, we anticipate the vast majority of our customers will have their services restored no later than Wednesday, October 23, 2024. We thank them for their patience as our teams work nonstop in hard-hit areas.

On Florida’s Gulf Coast, Hurricane Milton delivered a significant punch especially on the barrier islands. Below, you’ll find a list of counties and Comcast’s anticipated restoration timelines.

Our predominately restored timeline estimations depend on several factors, such as the remaining commercial power restoration to our network, our crews’ ability to access the locations, and whether debris will hinder the necessary construction and connection work necessary to restore connectivity to homes. Please note that estimates are based on current known factors and may change. Often, customers will have their services restored well before the dates listed below. Predominantly restored means our network is operational, and services have been restored for approximately 90% of our customers.
