Comcast volunteers recently teamed up with the military community for Wreaths Across America, a national tribute to fallen veterans and their families. 2024 marks the 9th consecutive year in which Comcast participates in the meaningful event. The special day brought together employees across Florida who laid wreaths at cemeteries in Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Lake Worth, Miami, Panama City, Pompano Beach, Sarasota, Stuart and Tallahassee.

Volunteers with Comcast’s Veterans Network (VetNet) Employee Resource Group led the effort across the nation. Hundreds of Comcast employees attended wreath-laying ceremonies at cemeteries across 15 states, marking this year’s the largest Comcast turnout to date.

Christine Pruitt, a Community Account Representative, joined her Comcast teammates at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth Beach. For her, it’s personal. She visits the solemn place often because her late father is laid to rest there. Pruitt paid tribute to her dad as she laid a wreath at his grave. Frank J. Moscati was a Vietnam War veteran, who proudly served his county.

“My dad was my hero, and it’s comforting to know his service and the sacrifices of so many others are remembered and honored in such a meaningful way,” Pruitt said. “Being part of this event, supported by my coworkers and my company, was an experience I’ll never forget.

Mona Dexter is Comcast’s Vice President of Military and Veteran Affairs. She emphasized the importance of these events as they remind us of the power of community and the courage of those who dedicate their lives to protecting our freedoms.

“It’s incredibly inspiring to see so many of my colleagues come together year after year for this event,” said Dexter. “Their engagement reflects the deep respect and appreciation our company has for the military community.”
