Fort Lauderdale School Gets Makeover on Comcast Cares Day

Comcast Cares Day volunteers paint a playground.

More than 650 volunteers worked to give a Broward County School a makeover for the 18th annual Comcast Cares Day on Saturday, May 4. Volunteers created outdoor classrooms, painted murals planted trees and shrubs, gave the teachers’ lounge a makeover and more.

In addition, Comcast’s community partners for the project – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County, Dillard Elementary School and HandsOn Broward – will each receive a Comcast Foundation grant on behalf of everyone who volunteered on Comcast Cares Day. To date, the Comcast Foundation has awarded more than $25 million in grants to local non-profit organizations who have served as partners on Comcast Cares Day.
