Inside the Urban League of Palm Beach County off North Tamarind Avenue in West Palm Beach, you’ll find all types of services designed to empower community members, including the ability to access free, high-speed Internet. The center is a WiFi-connected “Lift Zone” – an effort by Comcast to bring Internet to underserved families so they can fully participate in educational opportunities and the digital economy. Take a look. 👇

The Urban League’s building is located in the historic Coleman Park neighborhood for good reason. Patrick Franklin is the Urban League of Palm Beach County’s CEO and President. He said the location allows easy access to vital resources.

“We’re trying to address the needs of this community which are many when it comes to job training, job preparation, job placement,” said Franklin. “That’s the role that we play and that’s the role that Comcast has played with this Lift Zone here in West Palm Beach. We couldn’t do it without the partnership with Comcast.”
