Investing in Florida
2024 has been a transformative year for Comcast, as we continue strengthening communities through cutting-edge fiber technology. This year, our expanded network brought fast, reliable Internet to more homes and businesses in Florida than ever before, helping to connect people and power economic growth.
Connecting Communities with Purpose
Working closely with local governments and employing more than 3,000 area workers and hundreds of local contractors, we expanded our network to provide 99.9% reliable high-speed Internet to more than 95,000 new homes and businesses. From enabling seamless online learning and telehealth services to supporting small businesses and remote work, our efforts fuel economic growth and digital inclusion.
- Expanded to 198 communities, including areas of DeSoto County, Citrus County, and Miami-Dade County, FL and Houston County, AL
- Awarded millions of dollars in grants from local governments to support underserved rural areas
“It has been an incredible year for the Comcast Florida Region. We’ve expanded our network, launched new products and services, recovered after several intense storms, and together achieved some amazing milestones,” said Jeff Buzzelli, Senior Vice President of Comcast’s Florida Region. “I’d like to thank the entire Comcast Florida team for their dedication to providing the best service to our customers and continuing to grow our business. I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish in 2025.”
