As Florida’s technology leader, Comcast’s presence in the Sunshine State spans from Key West through the Panhandle. The company’s commitment to the community is deep and can be traced back for decades. With the goal of creating unlimited possibilities for all, Comcast continues to connect Floridians to opportunity by investing in nonprofit organizations, trusted partners and new technologies.

Take Duval County for example. Jen Boyett, Government & Regulatory Affairs Director, helps oversee the company’s outreach efforts in the area. She said Comcast’s investment in Duval County is extremely important for the future of its communities and the customers we serve.

“The Greater Jacksonville area is a key territory for Comcast and a prime location for our continued expansion efforts in the state,” said Boyett. “With our stellar product line-up, reliable Internet connectivity, and steadfast community partnerships, there’s no limit to what Comcast and North Florida can do together. I look forward to seeing all the great changes that will keep pushing the First Coast forward.”

Boyett said consider this when thinking about Comcast’s impact in Duval County. Of over 32,000 statewide employees, more than 500 call Duval County home. Comcast’s state-of-the-art network includes more than 13,000 miles of lines. It powers more than 219,000 Xfinity WiFi hotspots and provides an Internet connection with 99.9% reliability.

Since 2010, Comcast has contributed over $5 million in cash and in-kind donations to different non-profits, community events, sponsorships and other initiatives. Additionally, the company has connected more than 255,000 low-income residents since 2011 through its Internet Essentials program.
